A major grant from the Otago Community Trust has enabled our youth development programme, Turning Point Bridge, to reach hundreds more young people throughout Dunedin. We have teamed up with the Otago Secondary Schools Partnership, Otago Polytechnic and the Trust to present the programme to 30 Year 12 and 13 students from every secondary school in Dunedin.
Some courses have been run in schools during term time, and a number of committed students from a range of schools have attended the courses run during the school holidays.
As well as the Dunedin schools programme, Turning Point Bridge has been taken as far as Fiordland College in Te Anau and Waitaki Girls High School in Oamaru.
The feedback from students has been consistently outstanding, evidence that Turning Point Bridge, combining our personal development skills and business experience with up-to-date industry and career information, is a unique course in high demand that is making a positive difference in the lives of many teenagers throughout Dunedin and Otago.

In my work developing people, I often ask my clients, “What do you want in life?” I have asked hundreds of people that question, and the answers are always variations on the same theme: “Inner peace,” “To be happy,” “To make a difference.” Shifting the focus from the external world to the internal empowers people to make changes within themselves.Read More »
